      Biography

I worked as a pharmacist for seven years both as a hospital clinical pharmacist and a community pharmacist in a small group in Oxford. I then took up a joint appointment as regional postgraduate tutor for Oxford and North West Thames Regional Health Authorities and a lectureship at Department of Pharmacy, King's College of London. I was part time Pharmaceutical Adviser at Buckinghamshire Health Authority in 1992. I eventually became a full time lecturer at King's College and completed my PhD in 1997, "Health Promotion by Community Pharmacists" an evaluation of the Barnet High Street Health Scheme. In 1999 I was appointed to a senior lectureship at Nottingham, promoted to reader in 2002 and then to a personal chair in 2003.
I am head of the division of Social Research in Medicines and Health within the School of Pharmacy.
I am lead for academic and institutional capacity for the International Pharmaceutical Federation Global Pharmacy Education Development Team www.fip.org/education
I am an elected member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, English Pharmacy Board and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society National Assembly.

My main teaching interests are public health,social pharmacy, reserach methods and skills and pharmacy and communication skills
Professional Skills 2: Pharmacist Patient Partnerships in Health & Illness Professional Skills 4: Preparation for Practice,Preparation for Practice
I supervise 60 credit MPharm Projects in University of Auckland, Monash University, Melbourne, Univeristy of Sydney, Ottawa Children's Hospital, Canada , Boots the Chemist.
I have developed student summer exchanges with ten partners in seven countries. I have been awarded British Council PMI2 money to send 10 students for summer placements in India.

    Bekerja sebagai farmasis selama 7 tahun baik sebagai farmasis klinis rumah sakit maupun farmasis komunitas pada suatu kelompok kecil di Oxford.     (doktor) pada tahun 1997/ Pada 1999 ditetapkan sebagai dosen senior di Nottingham.
